There are so many different ways to learn how to do something new or how to do something differently. Unfortunately, it is often more challenging for us to learn as adults than when we were children. Remember when we could just jump right in and do something?! Now, we have to take more time!
At Parents Everywhere, we realize this and we know from experience that our brains don’t function the same way as they used to. So, we have developed different ways for you to learn how to be a more effective parent. Some of us learn better through listening. Some of us learn better through watching or observing. Some of us learn better through actually doing hands on activities. And some of us learn by doing all three. Which way do you learn? How do you remember things the best? Do you need feedback? Do you learn better in groups? Do you wish you had support and guidance while you are learning?
For those of you who absorb information best through listening (auditory learners), we have a wide variety of podcasts (Internet Radio Shows) for you to listen to on our Parents Everywhere Network. You’ll be amazed at how much you can learn in just twenty minutes! The beauty of podcasts is that you can listen anytime and anywhere you want to. All our shows are entertaining and educational. We try our best to make learning fun and practical.
For those of you who learn best by observing (visual learners) and by doing (hands on learners),we have various parenting workshops, seminars and/or classes on our Parents Everywhere Resources. The workshops and classes are centered around the Redirecting Children’s Behavior philosophy. If you only have an hour or if you can devote several hours, you will learn how to redirect your children’s behavior by understanding the reasons children misbehave.
In these interactive sessions, you will be expected to actively participate in the exercises and examples presented throughout the sessions. You will act our various scenarios as both the parent and the child. You will see yourself in an entirely new perspective as you explore your beliefs about your childhood and yourself as a parent. You will receive the encouragement and support of your instructor as well as the other parents. You will see that there are so many other parents who share your same parenting issues.
We are still developing other products to help guide you in this journey of parenthood. We hope to have available to you webinars (seminars available online), CDs and also books. Stay tuned to see what we have planned for you!
Finally, another method to help reinforce learning is to learn as a family.
