Boyette Family

About Suzette C. Boyette, Founder

It was the week Hurricane Katrina hit that caused Suzette to count all her blessings and reflect about her purpose in life. (Moms tend to do this a lot) She loved being a mother and also a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. But, how could she combine her love for her family and her love for teaching others about their health? Working full time was out of the question. She wanted to be home for her three little ones.

Through their close friend, Ryan Angelo, Suzette and Troy discovered the movie,The Secret. They loved it so much that they watched it seven times in a row. Even the children watched the movie and asked all sorts of questions! Following the Secret’s philosophy combined with solid action steps (such as becoming a certified parent educator), Parents Everywhere, Inc. was born. Suzette and Troy wanted to create a company that emphasized educating parents which strengthens the entire family unit! They totally believed they could do it. They followed their hearts. And when it’s meant to be, it will be!

At first, Suzette was educating parents through her Redirecting Children’s Behavior classes and workshops. Within time, she was teaching numerous moms groups, preschools, elementary schools, church organizations, PTA meetings, hospitals and other groups of teachers and/or parents throughout Orlando. She began to reach out into the community as well by volunteering monthly at the Greater Orlando Compassion Outreach Center and theHealthy Start Programs in Florida teaching parenting & newborn care classes; helping pregnant teens at the Beta Center; and others in organizations such as the Girls Scout Citrus Council and Head Start Programs. Parents were so receptive to the parenting classes and were changing their perspectives.

By March 2007, podcasting became the vehicle Parents Everywhere needed to reach a larger number of parents. Then, by July 2007, the idea of having a Parents Everywhere of Network of Podcasts came while Troy and Suzette were at the 2007 Podcasting and New Media Expo. For three days, Suzette couldn’t sleep. She was living, eating, breathing, thinking, and even dreaming podcasting! Troy affectionately told his tired, but excited wife, ‘Welcome to my world, Babe’ Parents Everywhere became a new media company specializing in parenting and family health through podcasts, classes and workshops. Strengthening family connections!

Currently, Suzette has started teaching Qigong... a 5,000 year old tradition that uses breath, movement and intentions to harness life energy called Qi or Chi as a certified instructor of Level 1 Qigong. She and Troy totally immersed themselves in this practice during the summer of 2008 and fell in love with the peace and energy Qigong gave them.

When Suzette’s not ‘working’, she loves how her children look when they first tumble out of bed; she makes it a priority to cuddle with the children (favorite time is in their pajamas right after a bath); she relishes her alone time to read while sipping either a cup of tea or coffee (her latest favorite is Eat, Pray, Love) ; she enjoys the aroma of baked goods (her specialty is cheesecake); she is trying to love running again (the best time reflect on your blessings); she dreams of travelling every three months (her dream is to spend one month at a Tuscan Villa learning how to cook and speak Italian); and she appreciates the time when she can go on ‘dates’ with Troy (favorite date is a 3-hour dinner at their favorite Seasons 52).

About J. Troy Boyette, Founder

Troy has always been a big idea person! Even when he was a little boy, he was thinking of ways to make things better and more efficient. He was always fidgeting with gadgets or rebuilding things in his room. His entrepreneurial drive came peeking through at fourteen when he realized he could sell insects to his fellow students when they were doing a science project involving various insects!

For the past 12 years, he has traveled throughout the U.S. for various consulting projects. His last 7 have traveled to Jacksonville, Florida which is only a short 2.5 hour drive. This has enabled him to be home for all the important days with the children such as the first days of schools, any class performances, and any sporting activities.

It was during those long drives about 3 ½ years ago that he discovered podcasts. He became quickly tired with music and traditional radio stations. He wanted something else he could listen to and control like TiVo. Bam! Enter podcasts and iTunes! He would jam pack his iPod with all the podcasts he loved to listen to such as Security Now! and Podcast 411 exactly for the length of his trips. Each week, he would listen and learn. Now the trips to Jax and Orlando didn’t seem so long anymore. So, for over 2 years he researched everything he could get his hands on pertaining to podcasting and new media. And every day his excitement grew! Being the big dreamer, his entrepreneurial wheels were starting to turn. Podcasting was such a new media for communication, hmmm, how can he get in on the action while it was still so new and in it’s infancy?!

So, one day he proudly announced to Suzette that SHE should do her own podcast! (Notice it wasn’t him!!!) She affectionately laughed and didn’t give it another thought. Then, as the weeks passed, she too began to see the big picture. Finally, after years of analysis and WEEKS of convincing, Troy took the leap forward and bought the equipment! The Boyette Podcast Studio was born!!!

Troy still travels to Jacksonville, However, the Boyette family is confident that the Parents Everywhere Network will be his path home. Do what you love and everything else will follow, right?

When Troy’s not working in Jacksonville or putting together the shows, you can find Troy relaxing with the Xbox or dueling with children over who plays Guitar Hero next. Troy also loves to read anything from science fiction to self-improvement (you’ll find stacks everywhere around the house); loves to cook (the family favorites are Crawfish Etouffe and Lobster Risotto); and he loves his Suzuki GSXR 1000.
